چکیده
Abstract Deep-level underground mining costs in South Africa are continuously rising due to the increased depth at which gold is being mined, resulting a rise virgin rock temperature and an increase cooling requirements. Therefore, mines must evaluate various ventilation optimisation projects required be implemented throughout their life of mine (LOM). This study develops method identify prioritise large capital expenditure (CAPEX) environmental improvement projects, improve thermal comfort underground. The solution presents ‘multi-criteria decision-making’ (MCDM) process, incorporating ‘analytic hierarchy process’ (AHP) ‘technique for order performance by similarity ideal solution’ (TOPSIS) into provide scientific decision-making. These evaluated based on four criteria, namely project risk, impact comfort, cost, implementation time. study’s uses simulations determine environment. identification evaluation best suit current economic climate, while improving conditions decreasing safety risk essential aspect developed this study. was mechanised deep-level showed that surface refrigeration most suitable alternative, case as validation solution. proves MCDM adequate incorporate subjective criteria decision-making structured approach making significant complex decisions.

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...
the effect of using critical discourse analytical tools on the improvement of the learners level of critical thinking in reading comprehension
?it is of utmost priority for an experienced teacher to train the mind of the students, and enable them to think critically and correctly. the most important question here is that how to develop such a crucial ability? this study examines a new way to the development of critical thinking utilizing critical discourse analytical tools. to attain this goal, two classes of senior english la...
VOC level control by ventilation improvement of Flexography printing room using CFD modeling
Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique, the dispersion contours and the exposure rate of Flexographic printing workers to VOCs in a printing department is evaluated. Firstly, VOCs distribution is determined in the printing room due to the existing ventilation system. Through next steps, 4 scenarios for lowering VOCs concentration and its exposure rate to workers are analyzed. Concen...
متن کاملHouse of Improvement Model to Enhance Prioritisation of Solutions in Decision Making: a Case Study
The decision making on selection of improvement solutions was one of the obstacles hampering the success of process improvement. This paper presents the House of Improvement (HOI) model as a guideline to link decision criteria for the prioritisation of improvement solutions. Three phases in the HOI are applied to facilitate selection and to ensure that suitable and value-added solutions are cho...
